WORK PROCEDURE METHODOLOGY

We look at each of our jobs as a sub project to integrated within a new construction, renovation or refurbishment project. We work on each project throughout its entire life cycle, from concept development to the delivery of the finished product, establishing checkpoints at each stage in the process to ensure we are achieving the objectives of the client, the other project stakeholders and the project itself.

PROJECT PHASES

1.- 1st CONTACT: This happens when the client makes contact with our team. We provide information about what we do and how we work. And if you are interested we will provide you with an outline project proposal discussing the possibilities of your project.

2.- CONCEPTUAL PHASE: We consult with you and listen to your requirements in order to prepare a plan of your needs and understand and meet your expectations. Once we fully understand our client’s needs and have discussed these with our technical team, we prepare a design schematic, which can then be further honed according to needs and expectations. Once the initial design is approved, we provide you with a full quotation for carrying out the service.

3.- CONTRACT: Once the quotation has been presented and approved, we proceed to formalizing the contract, attaching to it as appendices the approved design schematic, CWC’ work plan for integrating the commission into the full architectural project and the payment terms, together with other documentation.

4.- INTEGRATION PHASE: With the contract formalized we develop the initial design ready for manufacturing. This involves working with the client’s architect or technical team to develop detailed plans to for final client approval before moving on to the manufacturing phase.

5.- WORKSHOP MANUFACTURE: With the design approved we move on to manufacturing in our workshop in Spain, where we have at our disposal the most advanced technology and specialized personnel in the market. Throughout this process you will be kept fully informed of progress. It is important to note that once we get to this stage it is no longer possible to make modifications to the design and/or scope, as this would significantly disrupt the manufacturing process and logistics.

6.- TRANSPORTATION / SHIPPING: Once manufacturing is complete and the client has verified what has been produced and that it complies with the quality standards set out in the contract, we proceed to shipping the work (by the means agreed) in pre-assembled sections. Projects are sent pre-assembled in order to facilitate the fastest and most secure assembly, thereby optimizing the resources to be used at the final destination. This phase ends with the receipt of the artwork at its destination.

When the order (product) leaves the carpentry workshop and in line with the shipping methods previously agreed with the client (EXW, FOB, etc..) the item is prepared so that it travels pre mounted ready for the different sections to be assembled at the destination, thereby optimizing human and machinery resources and minimizing installation time. This can take between 5 and 25 days depending on the dimensions and complexity of the piece.

7.- INSTALLATION: During the previous phases of integration and workshop production, a plan for the assembly process and logistics will have been agreed with the client. This plan will, too, have been approved together with the verification of the piece in the workshop prior to shipping. This document will serve for the planning and monitoring of transportation and site assembly, both by CWC staff and others involved in the project, to ensure the correct resources are in place for installation.

Once the order leaves the workshop pre-mounted and ready for assembly at the final destination, our average installation time is 15/20 days. Our client or contractor provides the use of pre-agreed local resources, both technical and human, so as to reduce costs and timescales on-site. We use local carpenters for the assembly of the panels, managed by CWC personnel who are dedicated exclusively to manage the installation and quality control of our projects.

8.- PROJECT CLOSE: Once the carpentry work is installed and finished, it will be checked and verified by the client to ensure they are completely satisfied before formally accepting the job and closing the project.
